The solutions based on distributed technologies are supported by the world’s largest corporations and government entities. Moreover, the users’ interest in decentralized applications is not declining. Dapp.com report on the market of decentralized applications for the second quarter of 2020 showed that the total user base of DApps and DeFi platforms on Ethereum increased by almost 100% and reached a record for the network, 1 258 527 active users.
Does this mean that decentralized applications are going to become next-generation applications? #MetaHash team believes in it.
We are sure that DApps can become an alternative to traditional applications to attract programmers, investors, and users on a massive scale. For this purpose, it is necessary to surpass usual IT decisions on speed, quality, safety, and usability.
The task is not simple, but we work hard to make our platform usable both for developers and end-users.
In the future, any user can decentralize their app, service, or web page with the #MetaDev interface and the #MetaApps functionality (we will return to development after the NFT instrument is released).
How usable is that?
- With #MetaApps it will be possible to decentralize data from almost any source, from a simple HTML page to a whole database;
- #MetaApps will support all popular programming languages (including C++, PHP, Solidity, and others);
- #MetaDev will allow users to operate themselves, without the help of an internal team. To download the application it will be enough to provide a link to the code and set the required parameters;
- Once processed with #MetaApps and #MetaDev, the app or service data will be stored on users’ servers.
Compared to traditional centralized apps, Dapps have the following advantages:
- High level of security, independence, autonomy, and transparency;
- Invulnerability to any third-party rules or requirements;
- Support by a strong and active community through a voting system.
Along with other #MetaHash tools, the Dapps functionality will expand. So, for example, users will launch play-to-earn games with the NFT-service, develop their decentralized marketplaces with smart tokens, build alternative DEXes with our blockchain bridges.
