We are glad to inform you that during the holidays the network worked without any failures. For over 2 weeks, the Cores have been functioning and switching roles (Master and Slave) every 10 minutes, exactly as the Yellow Paper claims.
So, let’s look through a new weekly report, the first of 2021!
The main news is connected with Torrents. Firstly, a new version of Service Torrents was released on Wednesday. The third-generation role optimizes the operation with the Cores and fixes issues related to block downloads. The Deb-package will be published later.
Secondly, Infrastructure Torrents got an update. Previously, some users could meet the error “Incorrect sign key”. Now the signature verification algorithm is correct and the problem is resolved. Furthermore, the mechanism of interaction of I-Torrents with Cores has been improved.
Due to these changes, Torrent owners need to update their servers in the nearest future. If you have any questions or problems during the update to the latest version, please email support@metahash.org or contact Telegram chat administrators.
Moreover, there is another one update on GitHub — a compiled Core version has been published there. With it, installing becomes even easier! We’ll let users know when to return to testing these nodes.
